Gardeners' Association

Harpole Gardeners' Association was started in the 1940s with the Dig for Victory campaign. We have interesting speakers and exchange gardening tips. We hold an annual show in September and have three outings a year visiting gardens.

We meet at Old School Hall, School Lane, Harpole NN7 4DR, normally on the third Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. 

We always welcome visitors at all meetings. To join the group contact:

  • 16th. Dee Whitehouse and Chrissie Brinklow will give a talk with slides on “The gardens at Delapre Abbey"

June 2017

  • 24th Strawberry Fayre at ‘ illers’ Upper High Street, with plants for sale and strawberries and cream teas from 3pm. 

September 2017

  • 2nd. Gardeners' 74th Annual Show  at the Old School Hall, doors open at 3pm.  Show schedules are available from Peter Rixon 47b High St and John Wright 29 Carrs Way.  Please enter this village show of vegetables, plants, handicrafts, cooking and a large childrens' section.
  • 19th Rachael Myers will give a talk on “Garden Design and the Chelsea flower Show"

October 2017

  • 17th. Stuart Woodford will talk on “Rearranging your garden to make it more manageable"
